WINNERS! L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge- Read! edition

I loved the reading entries this week, specially the flickr entries!  I apologize for getting this up so late, sometimes- specially lately- life has just really gotten in the way of blogging...

Here are the two winners for this challenge:

1) Cafe Mirecki

Mama Mirecki captured her boys reading together, and rejoiced over the wonderful natural light.  I love how she got down to their level, and cropped in close.

2) Moms Mustard Seeds

Rebecca writes that this photo was taken the week her city was covered with snow.  I am sure this photo will remind them of such special memories.  I love that she captured so many members of her family enjoying a good book, including Dad, being read to!

Congratulations, winners!  thank you, everyone for entering the challenge!

I hope you will come back and join us next week when the challenge will be:  corners

L.E.N.S. Winners! - Mom in the middle

This challenge was a bit more challenging, funny how as moms- we are taking the photos, but not in many of them!  Here are my two picks of the week!:

1)  Skees Family Blog

I love this shot!  So outside of the box, wonderful!

2)  Songs Kate Sang

Kate's photo is the more typical 'mom in the middle' photo I was thinking of- I love how she is indeed, right in the middle, and I like how the camera tilt adds a little something to the shot.

Congratulations, winners!

I hope you will join us this coming Saturday when the challenge will be:

L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge *This Moment -Winners!

Thank you for joining up with the L.E.N.S. Challenge this week.  Every week I have a difficult time choosing just two photos- this week it was really tough to choose.  (that's why I pick two winners, I couldn't ever just pick one..)

Here are the two photos that just grabbed me this week:

1)  Our Peculiar Lives

a heartwarming sight, as a parent :)  Wonderful moment to capture!

2) Madder in Mada

Robin had several wonderful shots in this post, I had a hard time choosing just one.  I also asked myself if it was his superior photography skills that made his photos so vibrant, or his drool-worthy camera?  I concluded it was his skill.  I've learned that having a fancy camera doesn't help you much when you cannot use all its features!

Thank you everyone for joining up!  Come back on Saturday when the theme will be:

Mom in the Middle
(or for the guys- Photographer in the middle) I just love the alliteration...

Winners! L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge {RED} edition

I have to admit, I have a thing for red.  We really had some wonderful entries, with some wonderful red!  thank you everyone for linking up! :)

Here are this week's winners:

1) Our Peculiar Lives

Jennifer wrote that she just got a new lens and was learning to use it.  She captured some wonderful perspectives.

2) Rachel's Reflections

Rachel would have been the 5th red-head in this photo, isn't this wonderful!  Loove it!

Thanks for playing, everyone:)
I hope you will join us on Saturday when the theme will be:

This Moment

the following week's challenge will be:

Mom in the middle  -get out there and hand someone else the camera, let's see you in the middle of life!

L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge-*WINNERS! micro edition

We had some really wonderful entries, here are the two winners!

1) Our Peculiar Lives

this was the skeleton of a hydrangea petal, the photo is hauntingly beautiful, and the words with this post -

Remnants of Winter, and Decaying Bits of Self

were even more so, click over for a feast of words and pictures.

2) Janet Rose

a great job using the micro setting on her camera!  Look closely and you will see reflection in the drop of water! Stunning!  I always hope for a great shot like this, mine are usually a lucky chance...!

I hope you will join in with us on Saturday, when the theme will be:

L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge *Winners! -February edition

Here are the two winners of this week's L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge.   I think our definition of February ran from the traditional hearts of Valentine's day to the stark reality of what February is like right now for many people.  I loved seeing all your photos!

1) Seeking Contentment

so many things that I like about this photo; I love the fluffy heart craft, the pinks, reds & whites, and the focus field with the blur in the background.  Wonderful!

2) Aimee's Land

I love the shades of gray and white in this photo.  This is so serene, and so stark.  This is not my February, but it might be yours...

Thank you everyone for joining us!  I hope you will join up next week, when the challenge will be:
