L.E.N.S. -THE WINNERS!! -'properties of water'
This week's theme was "properties of water"
loved all the creativity I saw out there! This week's winners are:
Can you believe that there are 38 drops of water on this penny? You can read about the experiment here: Easy Science Experiment-how much water will a penny hold?
we've got the dynamic water, check! Artistic blurring of colors, check! Bright colors, check!
And joyfulness, check!
Thank you so much, everyone for joining up. I hope you will be back next Saturday for the challenge: "Fun in the Sun".
L.E.N.S. photo challenge-"bird-ology" WINNERS
The winners of this weeks' L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge are:
Birds are one of my very favorite things, I was so happy to have them for a theme this week. Thank you, everyone who took part in the challenge- I really enjoyed viewing your entries.
Next week, the theme is "properties of water" -please, get as creative as you can with this!
I will also do a giveaway during the challenge, stay tuned!
L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge-bokeh-WINNERS!!
We had a real variety of entries this week, some were 'in training' with their photos, trying-on bokeh, while others had interesting/different views. Again, each week, it is really, really hard to choose just two winners.
The winners of this week's photo challenge are:
1) Christine McKeel Photography
In this photo, she managed to capture the grass in front-sharply in focus, while getting the nice, soft bokeh grass effect in the back.
I choose this one because she stepped outside the box of scenery bokeh- which I admit, is what comes to my mind when I think of capturing a great bokeh shot. Instead, she went for this out of the ordinary view of a cake. Love it. And it's cake..what's not to love?
Great job everyone, beautiful photos, I enjoyed viewing them all, and I was inspired to get out and try some more bokeh shots.
thanks for playing!
Check for upcoming challenges on the right side-bar.
L.E.N.S. -WINNERS! -Red, white & blue
Here are the winners for The LEarning Never Stops photo challenge-
Red, white & blue
1) The Family Trifecta
Beautiful shades of red, white and blue. It's art- the photo and the food!
-All the shades, and it's a craft they did! Beautiful and a creative direction. Loved it!
********************************
Next weekend's photo challenge, July 17th will be 'bokeh'. I will have a post tomorrow explaining what bokeh is, how to get it easily using your camera's settings, and I will have a link or two to other blogs explaining how to use your aperture settings to achieve beautiful bokeh- I'll also post a photo of two as examples.
*bokeh is a blurred background
thank you everyone for participating, I hope you all had a chance to visit around and see the great entries- we had some really wonderful photos shared.
L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge-Winners! "numbers"

2) Butterfly Wishes and Wonderland dreams

L.E.N.S. Winners! -Our animal friends
I enjoyed all the entries for this week's L.E.N.S. photo challenge, I love animals- so do my kids, and we 'oohed and awwed' over all of them!
Here are this week's winners!
1) Joy @ My Home in the Smokies
there was just something about this photo, the big eyes, the cuteness, how you framed this shot..
2) Michelle @ So, I Married a Mennonite
she captured the theme of animals as friends, and I love how close she got, filling the frame almost entirely with the subjects.
Thank you, everyone who entered! The upcoming theme is "numbers" and the week after will be "red, white, and blue" -if you look on my side bar, I will keep upcoming themes listed there.
keep the fantastic photos coming!
L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge-Summer WINNERS!
I said I'd pick TWO winners, so I will...but it is hard picking just two. I loved these summer entries, they all captured the feeling/warmth/tastes of summer! Here are the winners this week:
1) Lego Boy from Missionary Mama
I loved the perspective on this shot, how she got down on his level, and of course the subject, boy playing with his beloved legos- summery fun!
2) Lake Summer from Nuz News
The lake in the background, the sunglasses, the healthy, summery golden glow on her face- it all shouts "summer fun"! and it's so joyful. Self portraits are a difficult shot to get, this one works.
Thank you everyone for participating! I hope you can join up next week for the theme,
"our animal friends". Happy Summer :)
